God's Appointed People Ministries was founded in 2004 in Hinds County Mississippi. The Ministry was incorporated in 2007 and received designation as a 501(C)(3) charitable organization. What began as a church to serve the community in assisting the needy, thru tutorial programs (2004), medicine assistance, Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage assistance, and distributed "donated" clothing to Katrina victims of the community (2005), has flourished into a community development organization dedicated to the betterment of the un-served and underserved.

 

In addition to the for mention, our present program of work includes Marriage Education, Financial Literacy; Youth and Adult Education Programs, Clothe Closet and Food Pantry through Partnership with Tyson Food, Mississippi Food Network, and Cal-Maine Food's

The goal of the Ministry is to increase the capacities of individuals and families through the provision of services. In its 17 year history, the organization has looked at the root causes of poverty. As a society, we can no longer have programs that just serve people. Our Capacity building programs assist in solving problems enabling people to move forward and improve their personal lives. Our program of work equips children and adults with strategies for building a community of hope. Building the capacity of community members, builds the community as a whole.

The organization's new mindset gravitates toward support and self-sufficiency. Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Church membership and community supporters, along with the support of experienced consultants, with demonstrated diversity and skill level, our Ministry coupled with its social services and educational activities, assists families to provide greater options and new opportunities for the well-being of our community.
